- 5-8 years prior product marketing experience, with a strong preference for candidates with experience working in B2B settings

What the job involves
- Our Product Marketing team’s mission is to generate customer insights that inform Stripe’s product strategy, and lead go-to-market for our suite of products
- Product Marketing is a highly cross-functional role at Stripe, partnering closely with Product and Engineering, Sales, Partnerships, Demand Generation and Campaigns to name a few
- Different from many other Product Marketing teams, our team works across the entire product lifecycle, from helping shape the product, to driving launch and commercialization, to growing product adoption post-launch
- We are looking for an experienced product marketer to help drive the marketing strategy and execution for one of our fastest growing products, Stripe Billing
- As PMM for Stripe Billing, you will be responsible for supporting our go-to-market strategy and own product-level messaging and positioning
- In this role, you will manage product growth initiatives in partnership with Product Growth, and enable our sales teams on Stripe Billing functionality and how to position to target segments
- You will engage teams across product growth, sales, campaigns, and demand generation to drive overall awareness, pipeline, and revenue for Stripe Billing across Stripe’s existing customer base and prospects
- Develop messaging and positioning for Stripe Billing. Develop campaign-level content as well as sales enablement assets
- Work closely with product, partnerships, and partner marketing (demand generation) teams to build a marketing strategy, with the goal of driving awareness, demand, and usage of Stripe Billing
- Enable sales teams to understand the value of Stripe Billing and competitive solutions
Our take
Stripe, nowadays a FinTech giant, spent the first few years since its founding building up its payments business, which primarily consisted of providing an API to eCommerce businesses so that they could easily integrate a payments option in their apps or websites, where before there was none.
More recently, Stripe has started to accelerate its growth with a significantly larger range of financial services including cash advances and credit cards. They also plan to build incorporation services, fraud protection, and more, diversifying its revenue away from payments and differentiating itself from its competitors.
To further expand its position, the company is looking to triple its presence in Ireland, and extend its services to countries with vast customer potential, including Brazil and India. Its latest venture, coming atop significant new funds, is to partner with OpenAI, the company behind ChatGPT - a win-win collaboration that will monetize OpenAI’s flagship products and at the same time enhance Stripe with GPT-4, as it moves forwards with intentions to "build the payments foundation for tomorrow's AI economy."
