What the job involves

As a Sales Development Representative for our Vendor team, you'll scour the culinary landscape to find the best local chefs, caterers, food trucks, and restaurants to join our program
Generate vendor leads for outbound prospecting that meets Cater2.me’s ideal vendor profile
Engage vendors in cold calls, emails, phone, and face-to-face meeting techniques
Qualify vendor leads through discovery calls, detailed questions, and industry-standard benchmark criteria
Effectively answer questions regarding Cater2.me’s service and identify whether vendors are the right fit for the platform
Assist in writing copy for outbound campaigns and continuously optimizing open rates and response rates
Facilitate a seamless transition of leads to Vendor Sales Managers
Additional duties as assigned

Providing attractive office perks or feeding employees isn't easy, especially for distributed teams. Cater2.me solves this problem by delivering team meals and experiences to employees, both in the office and at home.

Cater2.me was founded by two Morgan Stanley and Oliver Wyman alums, who set out to create a more varied and exciting alternative to traditional corporate catering. The service connects companies with local food vendors, offering a customizable, rotating menu. Since its launch, Cater2.me has diversified significantly, and now offers a wider range of non-culinary perks.

In recent years, Cater2.me has worked hard to expand its operations and is now active in dozens of US cities. In 2024, it was acquired by food truck platform Roaming Hunger, which will help the company offer new products and resources through its new owner. This new partnership and a steadily growing market presence will be instrumental if Cater2.me is to continue competing with more traditional catering and perks solutions.
