Role
Who you are
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Demonstrable experience in accounting, preferably with a focus on Procure-to-Pay processes
- Strong understanding of accounts payable, procurement workflows, and general ledger processes
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Fluency in English and Spanish
- Familiarity with IFRS accounting standards and compliance requirements
What the job involves
- We are on the lookout for an enthusiastic and personable PtP Financial Accountant to join our Boldyn Networks team. Based in our friendly Barcelona offices, you will ensure smooth processing of supplier invoices, payments, and procurement-related financial transactions while maintaining strong financial controls
- You will also have the opportunity to support other finance functions, fostering effective collaboration across the accounting and financial reporting functions
- As part of our Finance team, you will oversee the accuracy, timeliness, and completeness of monthly accounting, with a primary focus on the Procure-to-Pay (P2P) cycle
- Overseeing the end-to-end P2P process, ensuring supplier invoices are properly validated, recorded, and paid on time
- Reviewing purchase orders (POs) and matching them with invoices to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies
- Monitoring outstanding accounts payable and coordinating with suppliers to resolve discrepancies
- Invoicing and intercompany payments/collections, budgeted expense tracking, support in cash management
- Preparing and entering all journal entries for entities within the group
- Conducting monthly reconciliations of bank accounts, intercompany accounts, and balance sheet accounts
- Preparing and reviewing trial balances for all entities, identifying and correcting errors as needed
- Assisting in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Partnering with external accounting teams to ensure accurate and timely monthly reporting

The company has made a lot of progress over just a single year, including acquisitions of education connectivity providers Apogee, ZenFi Networks, Edzcom, and more. It is now focused on further advancing its interconnectivity services which already span Europe, the US and Hong Kong.
