Payroll Specialist, Gorgias

• A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• Experience coordinating international payrolls with external vendors
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle sensitive data
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
• Knowledge of payroll regulations in the countries where we operate
• Fluency in English is a must
• Proficiency in Excel and Google Spreadsheets, including knowledge of formulas, pivot tables, and creating macros (preferred)

• Coordinating with internal stakeholders to collect accurate information for monthly and bi-weekly payrolls, ensuring all relevant data is prepared for processing
• Collaborating with external vendors responsible for payroll processing, ensuring all calculations, such as overtime, bonuses, commissions, and PTO, are accurate and processed correctly
• Verifying processed payroll to meet accuracy standards and resolving any discrepancies
• Supporting the preparation of reports and assisting with ad-hoc requests within the People Operations team
• Working closely with the Finance & Accounting teams to meet their requirements and ensure the necessary data flow for reconciliation and financial reporting
• Managing processes related to Direct employees, Contractors, Freelancers and Employees of Records, ensuring compliance and accuracy in their payroll treatment
• Addressing and efficiently responding to employee inquiries related to their payments, providing assistance and timely solutions
• Tracking vendor deliverables on payroll SLAs via defined payroll metrics
• Being risk-aware and helping to identify, report, mitigate, and track risks in the payroll delivery process
• Supporting the Payroll team lead by providing necessary data and clarifications to questions raised during internal and external audits
• Driving process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency in payroll operations through automation
• Demonstrating flexibility and adaptability to operate in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, taking ownership and setting directions with minimal guidance
