Butlr, an Artificial Intelligence of Things (AIoT) company, leverages a wireless heat sensor and AI which detects human presence and movement to gauge how space is being used.
The tech is targeted predominantly towards enterprise clients who want to better understand how their commercial and office spaces are functioning, as well as for fall detection in senior care. Crucially, Butlr’s sensor does not capture any personally identifiable information – which should help its popularity with employees and occupants.
Though it’s not the only company to make inroads in the workspace and spatial analytics niche, it's encouraging that Butlr has been able to land big clients in the form of Georgia Pacific and Carrier. Having completed major fundraises, Butlr is growing steadily and appears to have a strong future ahead of it.
