Who you are
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, or other mathematical or technical area(s), or 5+ years of relevant work experience in a detail-oriented environment with high expectations of precision
- A self-starter demeanor with proven time-management skills and the ability to work independently, while managing multiple work streams in a fast-paced, evolving work environment
- Analytical, detailed, and process-oriented tendencies
- Comfort collaborating with others - both internally and externally to execute on billing enablement
- A drive to problem solve and get to the bottom of issues and incidents, supporting to resolution
- Experience with driving automation, including providing requirements, testing, and leading operational changes into the working environment
- Experience working with a billing / payment system (potentially in a financial or healthcare environment) that requires near perfect execution; NetSuite experience preferred
- A desire to perform and maintain high standards of work & accuracy

What the job involves
- This role is responsible for contributing to the overall success of our tuition and revenue payments & billing function, which emphasizes the timely and accurate payment workflow
- This includes completing complex billing processes, ensuring compliance requirements are met, supporting analyses, and participating in strategic initiatives to optimize payments, billing, & revenue operations
- This role uses deep knowledge of the business and billing processes to support transformation initiatives, enable operational process improvements, effectively collaborates cross-functionally, and supports day-to-day billing & revenue operations as needed
- Support the facilitation of accurate and timely tuition and employer benefit dollars across Guild’s payment marketplace in support of KPIs
- Analyze and organize large amounts of data and prepare timely invoices for customers
- Ensure tuition, benefit, and revenue dollars are recorded accurately within internal and external tools
- Take the lead in investigating and resolving complex customer inquiries related to invoices, billing discrepancies, payment terms, and payment escalations
- Distribute invoices and partner files timely & accurately, within the correct mechanisms (email, file transfer, portal, etc)
- Enable transformation of billing and revenue processes by driving processes, supporting documentation and lead integration into the operating environment
- Successfully execute on SOC 1 and other compliance and audit requirements
- Contribute to a positive and productive work environment and team culture
