Role
Who you are
- 2-3+ years proven experience managing project types such as: digital campaigns, experiments, and microsites; financial services and B2B experience a plus
- Great communication skills, both verbally and electronically with demonstrated examples of relationship-building across a highly matrixed organization
- Well-organized, detail oriented, and resourceful
- Ability to work under pressure, handle changing priorities and simultaneously handle multiple priorities
- Intermediate understanding of HTML & CSS, particularly React
- Experience working with CMS (content management systems), preferably Wordpress
- Familiarity with various project management systems (Agile, Kanban) and platforms (Workfront, JIRA)
What the job involves
- We’re seeking a savvy, intellectually curious, and dynamic self-starter to join our team as a Content Web Producer
- You’ll be part of our Web Marketing team, which is responsible for creating a best-in-class experience for our visitors and members
- You will report to our Director of Web Marketing and you will develop and execute content marketing initiatives and materials on SoFi.com
- Our goal is to be the center of our members’ financial lives, and to help every member get their money right—and our website is essential to that goal
- Manage and develop content web projects based on business goals and requirements, from beginning to end
- Build and foster relationships with key stakeholders such as SEO, Content and Creative
- Anticipate and solve any roadblocks or challenges that may impact initiative delivery
- Document and communicate project status to teams on a regular basis to ensure all teams are aware of next steps and project milestones
- Identify process gaps and increase and formalize efficiencies as needed
- Update content, make small code adjustments, and handle the day-to-day support of ongoing website updates, requests and maintenance
Our take
SoFi started by offering ways for students to secure better financial terms on their loans, and now offers a huge range of personal finance products, including bank accounts, loans, mortgages, investment advice, and investment opportunities. Many customers find they have to go to multiple financial service providers to meet all their finance needs, but SoFi overcomes this issue by putting it all in one place.
Its goal, to cover all the financial bases, sets it apart from many of the traditional banks and even some of their digital competitors, such as Avant, which has chosen to focus on providing credit alternatives. Although it is operating in a competitive market with a lot of big players such as Monzo, Revolut, and Starling, the company has managed to raise huge amounts of funding to support its rapid expansion.
SoFi has focussed on global expansion, moving outside the US, and has made a series of acquisitions to support this - including a Hong Kong-based investment app called 8 Securities. After going public on the New York Stock Exchange via a SPAC merger in June 2021, the company has continued to evolve and release more mission-oriented services into its roster, and strengthened its lending capabilities through a $350 million post-IPO loan. To date, the company has sold over $15 billion in personal loan collateral and continues to strengthen its offering.
