Role
Who you are
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in agency recruiting, specifically sourcing technical talent
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a startup environment, preferably within the tech industry
- Strong knowledge of technical roles, skills, and requirements, including software development, engineering, data science, and related fields
- Proven track record in sourcing and engaging with passive candidates
- Familiarity with various sourcing tools and platforms (e.g., LinkedIn, GitHub, Stack Overflow)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with candidates, recruiters, and hiring managers
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
- Self-motivated and able to work independently, as well as collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Familiarity with applicant tracking systems, specifically Greenhouse, and other recruiting software
- Willing to work 5 days a week in person in Vancouver, BC

- We are seeking a skilled and motivated Technical Sourcer to join our recruiting team. As a Technical Sourcer at LayerZero, you will play a crucial role in identifying and engaging top technical talent to fuel our company's growth
- . Your experience in agency recruiting and the startup ecosystem will enable you to effectively source, assess, and attract exceptional candidates
- Collaborate with hiring managers to understand technical requirements for various positions within our team
- Utilize multiple sourcing channels including online platforms, social media, professional networks, and industry events to identify and attract qualified candidates
- Conduct thorough screening of resumes and applications to evaluate candidates' qualifications, experience, and cultural fit
- Engage with passive candidates and build relationships to generate interest in opportunities at LayerZero
- Conduct initial phone interviews and assess candidates' technical skills and suitability for specific roles
- Track and maintain candidate information in the applicant tracking system to ensure accurate and up-to-date records
- Collaborate with the recruiting team to develop and implement effective sourcing strategies, including job postings, referral programs, and talent pipelines
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in technical sourcing and recruiting, bringing new ideas and innovative techniques to the team
