Who you are
- You are an enrolled student (m/f/d), ideally in Business Administration, Business Informatics, or a comparable field
- You are available for 15–20 hours per week
- You have a strong affinity for IT and quickly adapt to new tools
- You are confident in using MS365, especially Excel
- Initial experience with AI is a plus, but not required
- You work in a structured, careful, and independent manner
- You are eager to question the status quo and continuously improve things
- You have very good communication skills in English; German skills are a plus
What the job involves
- Our Projects & Processes team within the Business Operations department aims to sustainably drive Shopware’s growth. We establish best practices, consult all departments on project and process topics, and support continuous change across the company. As a central point of contact, we collaborate closely with all teams and actively contribute to Shopware’s ongoing development
- And this is where you come in! We are looking for a Working Student (m/f/d) to support our Projects & Processes team for 15–20 hours per week, working remotely from anywhere in Germany
- You support our team in daily operations and ensure that our projects and processes are well-documented and maintained
- You take care of the structured preparation, maintenance, and optimization of data (e.g. in Excel)
- You help make existing processes more transparent and efficient
- You work closely with our Project & Process Managers and support them with administrative tasks
- You gain insights into various business areas and collaborate with different stakeholders
Our take
The eCommerce boom in recent years has shown no signs of slowing down, and Shopware is capturing the opportunity. The company offers a set of open source tools to power the online shopping experience for hundreds of thousands of brands.
There are of course competitors, like Shopify Plus, but Shopware has stood out for serving mid-market companies that were not digitally-native businesses but had to take on digital channels to keep up with customer demand. This, combined with the obvious increase in brands and companies needing help when eCommerce became more mainstream, has served Shopware particularly well.
Founded in 2000, the company only received its first round of funding in 2022. Until then, it had been profitable off its own back. This capital and support from, among others, Carlyle and PayPal will be invested in its international growth.
