What the job involves
- As an Operations Associate for Urgent Care, you’ll be joining the Urgent Care team, responsible for driving the growth of Urgent Care and Out-of-Hours providers who use the Lantum platform
- This is a small team within the Primary Care team. The team has ambitious targets and is set up to facilitate large scale growth for Lantum in the coming months
- In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to drive the growth of qualified and ready to work clinicians to work in our Urgent Care and Out-of-Hours providers, positively impacting the care provided on the frontlines of the NHS
- You’ll have the opportunity to manage the clinician journey for a portfolio of key clients, acting as the main point of contact for clinicians in the journey
- You’ll also have the chance to manage a portfolio of key clients, supporting them to achieve their goals and support them in maintaining high quality patient care
- Lead clinician acquisition for key client accounts, both within the Lantum marketplace and outside of Lantum
- Manage the clinician journey for key client accounts, with a particular focus on the following milestones
- Clinical governance approval
- Internal client onboarded
- First session worked
- Actively working
- Clinical governance renewal
- Leveraging emails, messages and phone calls to efficiently onboard
- Identify potential high usage clinicians and accelerate them through the onboarding journey
- Research clinician behaviours and modify the journey to cater to their needs
- Identify potential incentives and methods to drive urgency to complete the clinician journey and actively work
- Interact with key stakeholders for each client, maintaining and building a relationship to drive success for the account
- Help create and implement playbooks for team functions
- Follow playbooks for successful client launches
- Assist with reiterations of playbooks and processes for team functions
- Providing clinician related data for key clients, presenting this to both the client and the wider team when required
- Manage a portfolio of key clients
- Lead on client meetings and actions to progress them
- Be a main point of contact for clients and any of their queries
- Provide first-class customer experiences throughout all of your functions, keeping the customer and their best interest at the heart of everything you do

Our take
The NHS is facing huge financial pressures. An area that's been targeted in recent years is the billions the NHS spends on sourcing temporary doctors, known as locums, largely via agencies which take large fees.
Lantum's business model has changed since launch. It was originally a marketplace which helped healthcare providers connect with vetted temporary staff when they found gaps in their shifts. It has since become a wider platform for NHS workforce management.
Their software helps healthcare organisations fill the maximum number of shifts, by enabling them to manage their own network of clinicians and introducing them to new clinicians in the area. In 2021 they supported over 3,000 healthcare organisations, saving the NHS over £30 million.
Having already introduced the service for smaller clinics, they now aim to introduce it to hospitals as well as expanding the service to all healthcare professionals – including nurses and receptionists.
