Role
Who you are
- Validated experience in business development working with mid or large sized corporate clients
- Proven ability to establish and nurture strong client relationships with senior executives, supported by a vast network within the asset finance community
- Established success in originating and growing new business within a financial institution
- A proficiency in the credit and underwriting process and a fluency in all manner of financial documents- able to analyse, draw insights and make financial services recommendations
What the job involves
- We have an exciting opportunity to join the Asset Finance team as a Business Development Director
- This is a new business development role for an expert dealmaker who can develop lead and drive business performance to successfully contend in the Asset Finance market
- Our team plays a key part of the cashflow solution for many trading businesses and is a growth product both within LBG and the UK generally, making this an exciting and important area to develop a career within the Group!
- Establishing and leading new relationships for the Asset Finance business
- Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, including the planning and execution of contact strategies enabling you to win new to bank clients
- Understanding client strategies to provide the best possible solutions to support in a highly competitive marketplace
- Making first contact with new clients, utilising the Lloyds brand, to arrange meetings, explaining the value Lloyds can bring to clients
- Work with the client and existing relationship teams to agree credit lines with the new clients
- Provide full and comprehensive handover to your relationship colleagues remaining available for ongoing support if required
