Who you are

1-3 years of experience in a research, strategy, consulting, or analyst role—or relevant internships/coursework demonstrating analytical rigor
Bachelor’s degree in a STEM, economics, or related analytical discipline
Strong analytical mindset and comfort working with both qualitative and quantitative data
Clear writing and communication skills—able to distill complex findings into concise prose or slides
Working knowledge of Excel/Google Sheets; enthusiasm for learning new analytic tools (SQL or Python a plus)
Collaborative, proactive attitude with strong attention to detail
An eagerness to grow their skillsets and learn in a fast-paced startup environment

What the job involves

Cypris is looking for a detail-oriented and curious Associate Research Analyst to join our growing Research Services team
You will support senior analysts on custom engagements, develop foundational research skills, and begin contributing discrete deliverables that help clients understand emerging technologies and competitive landscapes
We operate on a deliverable-first model—when and where you work is secondary to meeting deadlines and maintaining research excellence
In this role you'll gather and organize data from patents, scientific papers, market filings, product spec sheets, and company datasets to feed higher-level analyses
Draft custom research reports under the guidance of senior analysts
Shadow client calls, capturing structured notes and learning best-practice communication and responsiveness
Own smaller projects, gaining experience in end-to-end project execution
Engage in ongoing training and mentorship, actively seeking guidance while building autonomy in core research functions
