Role
Who you are
- AWS, especially services such as VPC, ECS/EKS, RDS, SQS/SNS, S3, CloudTrail, and IAM
- Web and API traffic management (using Fastly or similar), including support for SEO-driven traffic, frontend delivery, and API ingress
- Cloud Databases (MySQL, Postgres)
- Terraform/OpenTofu for management of large multiple environment spanning cloud & third-party services
- Docker and container scheduling systems (eg ECS/EKS, K8s, Nomad)
- User and system access management (Auth0, SSO, Oauth/OIDC, SAML)
- Scripting using Python (or similar dynamic language) and Bash
Desirable
- Track record of owning and delivering technical change in collaboration with others
- Bias for action, especially when faced with technical ambiguity
- Experience with Agile practices and continuous improvement
- Able to communicate effectively with different stakeholders
- Methodical approach to problem solving and debugging
What the job involves
- Work with other platform engineers to support, operate, and enhance our platform services
- Collaborate with stakeholders, especially engineering teams, to discover, refine, propose, and deliver improvements or changes to our platform services
- Own for the design and delivery of change to our platform services
- Participate in incident investigation and resolution
- Improve the tools, processes, and working practices of the team
- Advocate for the adoption and effective use of platform services, helping teams understand their value and ensuring they are easy to consume
