Who you are
- We’re looking for someone who can think systematically, yet comfortably balance rapid prototyping with thoughtful design leadership
- You’re a collaborative, design-led thinker who speaks the language of product, leading discussions and influencing stakeholders at all levels
- You have extensive experience as a Senior or Staff Product Designer, with a portfolio showcasing exceptional UI craftsmanship and bold design leadership
- You know when to prioritize fast iterations and prototypes, collaborating effectively with senior designers and cross-functional teams
- You can communicate fluently in English and can confidently pitch your design vision clearly through storytelling, backed by user research and strong design intuition
- You’re proficient in design tools like Figma, Figjam, and collaborate seamlessly through Jira and Confluence
- You’re passionate about mentoring and guiding other senior designers, fostering a collaborative environment that elevates the overall design quality and team growth
What the job involves
- We’re looking for a skilled Staff Product Designer with a deep expertise in UI craftsmanship and a visionary mindset to execute user experience and design-related initiatives at a group level
- The primary objective of this role is to deliver exceptional quality products that effectively meet the user and the business needs across various domains within the group
- You’ll lead design initiatives for the consumer-facing ride-hailing app, confidently articulating compelling design stories backed by a blend of clear user problems, data, and design intuition to senior stakeholders
- Quickly prototype and iterate design concepts to initiate product momentum
- Confidently present design ideas to senior stakeholders using a balance of data-driven insights and strong design intuition
- Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and researchers to bring your design concepts to life
- Advocate for user-centric, high-quality design solutions across the team
- Push for visionary solutions that challenge existing ideas and drive innovation
- Contribute to evolving design systems and ensuring consistency in UI/UX patterns
Our take
Across Europe, more and more people are choosing flexible, on-demand transport instead of owning a car. And ride-hailing, shared vehicles and new technology like autonomous driving are all part of this shift. So, cities are pushing for safer and more efficient transport, which is encouraging mobility companies to invest in electric vehicles and even driverless solutions which could eventually reshape urban travel.
Bolt has positioned themselves right in the center of this change, with is leading mobility platform that offers ride-hailing services across more than 50 countries. Through its app, Bolt connects users with transport options designed to be affordable and simple.
Recently, the company partnered with Stellantis to explore Level 4 autonomous, driverless vehicles, showing just how far ahead Bolt is looking for its next phase of mobility.
That said, Bolt operates in a very crowded market and urban mobility is highly competitive, with many local and international players all trying to come out on top. Even so, demand for shared and on-demand transport is at an all time high and only growing. Bolt's broad geographic reach, focus on scale and willingness to invest in future technologies puts it in the perfect position to keep growing.
