Role
Who you are
- 5+ years of experience in a pre-sales, customer-facing role: Solutions Engineer, Solutions Consultant, Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect, etc
- Salesforce administration or development experience is required
- Proven track record of winning software deals, with C-suite and Sales, at enterprise accounts
- Experience running and managing enterprise-level proof of concepts (POC) required
- Reliable professional with a growth mindset who will hit the ground running
- Remarkable communications skills (presentation, written, and verbal) and executive presence
- Experience with installing and administering SaaS applications
- Working knowledge of APIs and enterprise systems architecture
- Experience with the Revenue Operations landscape is a plus
- Working knowledge of Data Warehousing and common schema structures preferred but not required
- Salesforce certifications preferred but not required
- Basic JSON knowledge preferred but not required
What the job involves
- The Revenue team’s mission at Clari is to lead the company and the market by selling the only platform purpose-built to run revenue
- Our team’s purview spans all things revenue — operations, new logos, account management, and sales development — as well as enablement, programs, sales engineering, and value engineering
- We’re responsible not just for creating and closing high-velocity pipelines, but also the programs and training that help turn pipelines into revenue
- Clari is hiring a Senior Sales Engineer to help expand our customer base and grow new revenue.
- Your day-to-day will focus on helping large, complex organizations drive greater revenue predictability across their global customer-facing, revenue teams

- Partner closely with the Engineering and Product senior leaders for all critical decisions and key initiatives, customer commits within the Data Platform product area
- Establish and maintain a culture of continuous improvement within the platform product area
- Oversee the portfolio of work for the Data Platform teams, managing impediments, major risks, and dependencies to drive quarterly planning and execution
- Understand modern data platform architecture and the patterns of being a shared service
- Cross-functional collaboration with senior leadership teams to define metrics for measuring success in planning, execution, and engineering productivity and effectiveness
- Ability to coach processes and best practices in Engineering and Product Management organizations
- Catalyst in the Engineering Operations Organization propelling us to continually improve and expand our operational capabilities
- Ability to identify potential risks and assist engineering leaders to develop mitigation strategies
- Bridge communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders
Our take
Clari’s revenue operations software scrapes data stored in digital infrastructure such as marketing automation systems, CRMs, emails, calendars, and content management systems, before using AI to deliver revenue forecasts.
In short, its purpose is to remove any doubt or guesswork from revenue forecasts, allowing businesses to plan for the future with more certainty. Clari has built up a solid base of over business customers so far including Adobe, Lenovo and Dropbox, and has more than quadrupled its valuation since 2020, with a now estimated value of over $2.6 billion.
The company’s recent surge in momentum makes a great deal of sense. Its 2022 acquisition and integration of Wingman, a conversational intelligence company, has added a level of granularity to its data tools which is appreciated by companies attempting to navigate a diificult global market.
Clari is exploring opportunities to introduce its software to its more than 250 portfolio companies, and plans to focus on hiring hundreds of employees to grow its presence in international markets. The company also has its eyes on acquiring additional companies with technology that can advance its product development efforts.
