Senior Engineering Manager, Upstart

• 8+ years of experience in software development with a minimum of 3 years managing a team directly
• Experience leading product oriented teams with quantifiable user impact

• As a Senior Engineering Manager at Upstart, you will play a crucial role in shaping how we drive user growth and engagement through intelligent targeting, strategic product recommendations, and best-in-class offer generation infrastructure that scales
• You’ll be responsible for generating personalized offer experiences, enhancing out-of-funnel cross-sell strategies, advancing our offer orchestration infra, optimizing cost, and closely working with our ML team to produce better outcomes for our users
• Your work will directly contribute to growing our existing and newer products, increasing customer lifetime value and helping more users access the right financial products at the right time
• Define and implement an engineering roadmap that supports intelligent and personalized offer and product recommendations to our user base
• Work with cross functional partners including Product Managers, Product Marketing Managers, and Research Scientists to make this a highly impactful program
• Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing engineering team directly, focused on providing high quality solutions and incrementally enhance systems with each pull request
• Leverage experimentation and data-driven insights to refine growth strategies, optimizing user engagement and conversion through continuous testing, iteration, and personalization
• Create a best-in-class offer generation infrastructure that scales with our user base and all Upstart products
