- The ideal candidate has in-depth knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, proficiency in accounting systems, and strong motivation to contribute to the achievement of efficient financial close and reporting processes

- 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a SaaS environment
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Experience with sales tax compliance and reporting
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
What the job involves
- We’re looking for an exceptional Corporate Accountant to join our fast growing Accounting Team
- This role will be a significant contributor to the success of the accounting department
- You invest time in defining and documenting processes to not only proactively address gaps but to also get ahead of new processes required to support Fivetran's continued growth
- Sales Tax Management:
- Ensure compliance with state and local sales tax regulations
- Conduct sales tax reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
- Accruals:
- Prepare and post monthly accruals
- Review and analyze expense reports for proper accrual recognition
- Assist in the development and implementation of accrual policies and procedures
- General Ledger Accounting:
- Maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
- Prepare journal entries and ensure accuracy and completeness
- Support the preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP
- Participate in internal and external audits
- Contribute to process improvements and system enhancements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business objectives
