Role
Who you are
- We are looking for an entrepreneurial and collaborative Product Innovation Manager to manage and develop new commercial products within the Gallery’s Loyalty, Sales and Ticketed Experiences (LSTE) department
- You will be responsible for the day-to-day management and optimisation of a variety of products within LSTE’s portfolio, which currently includes ticketed experiences (exhibitions, events, tours and general admission), loyalty propositions (Gallery Membership and Supporters’ House) and other commercial products (maps and audio guides). You will also carry out full cycles of product development to identify commercial opportunities that respond to the needs of Gallery audiences
- We are seeking someone with a qualification and/or proven ability in managing products or projects, bringing experience of working with B2C commercial propositions in any sector. An engaging communicator, you will be excited to collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to get the best outcomes for Gallery audiences and achieve commercial objectives, whilst taking a structured and data-led approach to problem solving. You will also have an appreciation for arts & culture and/or the Gallery’s broader mission
What the job involves
- As Product Innovation Manager, you'll help shape and deliver innovative commercial products and visitor experiences that support the Gallery's strategic and revenue goals. Working across the full product lifecycle, you'll use customer insight, data and market trends to identify opportunities, improve existing products and bring new ideas to life
- Lead the development and optimisation of commercial products and visitor experiences
- Identify opportunities for growth through customer insight, market research and performance data
- Manage and enhance existing products to improve customer engagement, conversion and revenue
- Work collaboratively with teams across Digital, Marketing, Data & Insight, Guest Experience and Commercial functions
- Use data and customer feedback to inform decisions and drive continuous improvement
- Support the delivery of commercial targets through effective product planning and optimisation
- Champion innovation and the use of emerging technologies, including AI, to enhance product development and customer experience

The National Gallery, London, is a free-to-visit gallery housing the national collection of paintings. This collection spans the Western European tradition from the 13th to the 19th centuries, with pieces from artists the likes of Leonardo da Vinci and Vincent van Gogh.
Founded in 1824, the gallery has grown and developed over 200 years, preserving and sharing artworks with generations of visitors. It is now visited by millions of people every year, and its transformation continues, with a new wing planned to house a growing collection of 20th and 21st-century art.
It is the gallery's commercial arm, NGG, that generates the income to support the care and maintenance of the collection. This is done through associated cafes, restaurants and shops, as well as publishing, image licensing, merchandising and venue hire. On top of this, the gallery is undertaking fundraising efforts to support the new wing and further post-1900 acquisitions.

Sir Gabriele Finaldi
(Director)Director of the National Gallery since 2015, Gabriele was previously Deputy Director for Collections and Research at the Museo Nacional del Prado, Madrid. Prior to this, they were a curator at the National Gallery, who was responsible for the later Italian paintings in the collection as well as the Spanish collection.
