Who you are

5+ years of experience of industry ML experience in the Python ecosystem
Prior experience building Python libraries and tools
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
Experience with ML Frameworks (Pytorch, Tensorflow, Jax, etc) and data processing tools like (Pandas, Polars, Pyspark, etc.)
Experience with the different components of the ML stack: data curation and labeling, model training, hyper-parameter tuning, experiment tracking, model serving, and model observability
Experience contributing to open source projects is a plus

What the job involves

Lead, design, and build ergonomic SDKs and libraries on top of Union’s suite of products (Flytekit, UnionML, Pandera)
Integrate with state-of-the-art techniques and frameworks for ML, including data processing, data quality, model training, model serving, and observability
Build out ML models and applications on top of the Union tech stack, the more creative the better! You’ll also write blog posts, examples, and papers about these projects, showcasing them in conferences as appropriate
Get satisfaction out of understanding and solving our users’ ML and data challenges
