Role
Who you are
- A bachelor’s degree (MS preferred) in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, or other related fields is required
- Minimum 3 years of experience in embedded software in data centers, networking, security, cloud services, or the automotive industry
- Proficient in test methodologies with experience in system-level testing of physical devices
- Familiarity with the Linux command line and proficiency in shell scripting / Python coding
- Familiarity with Quality Assurance for the Cloud Platform developed on private and public Cloud Infrastructure
- Experience with API testing, automation using scripting languages (e.g python)
- Experience building and maintaining test automation for SDKs
- Experience with C++ is a plus
- Review and challenge product requirements, design, and functional specifications
- Ability to develop, review, and modify Python scripts to enhance test coverage and automation
- Experience with designing and implementing test tools for automation
- Familiarity with common test frameworks such as PyTest, Behave, or similar
- Experience in E2E testing of cloud-controlled / monitored embedded products
- Proficiency in Jama, Testrail, JIRA, Jenkins, or similar tools
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
What the job involves
- As a key member of our cross-functional team overseeing the entire software development life cycle, you will engage with cutting-edge technologies and contribute to innovative projects from conception to deployment
- Collaborate with diverse teams to define testing strategies for challenging and innovative projects
- Develop and execute detailed test plans using a combination of automation and manual testing
- Triage integration issues, replicate problems, and assist in identifying root causes and solutions
- Escalate potential issues (Software, Hardware, Resources) to the Project Manager/Executive team
- Track testing activities, ensuring clear alignment across key stakeholders
- Identify areas for improvement in test coverage and methodology, providing valuable suggestions
- Act as the gatekeeper for each release, representing the voice of customers and providing constructive feedback

The software that defines such vehicles requires over-the-air (OTA) updates and other forms of maintenance, which can quickly become a time-consuming and resource-intensive process.
Sonatus develops cloud-based solutions for software-defined vehicles, providing a platform called Digital Dynamics that empowers automakers to harness vehicle data, add feature updates, diagnose problems, and maintain vehicle infrastructure wirelessly and in real time. The company achieves its flexibility through cloud-empowered data infrastructure, no-code software solutions, and working closely with clients.
Whilst the company faces competition from other IoT vehicle software companies, Sonatus shows great potential to compete through its all-in-one approach. This has earned it impressive funding, which supports further development and the increase of production volume, as well as the company's expansion into the Japanese market.
