Who you are
- You have a passion for working with multiple stakeholders from Product, Enablement, Sales and Executives to create positioning that is unique and differentiating
- The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the digital experience, search, or commerce landscapes along with experience in Go To Market and sales cycles at SaaS organizations
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of conveying complex information in a clear and persuasive manner
- A Sales Mindset: Deep understanding of and empathy for the experience of Algolia field sales
- Expertise: Deep understanding of digital experience and ecommerce business needs
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
- Software Proficiency: Expertise in using enablement, tracking and documentation technology
- Years of Experience: 2+ years in marketing technology teams; sales enablement; or content-producing roles, preferably in the digital experience, commerce, or search sub sectors
- Preference for candidates with experience at our current stage and beyond (over 10,000 customers, $50-200M ARR range, high growth, lots of change and building internal infrastructure)
What the job involves
- We are seeking a based Product Marketing Manager to join our passionate Product Marketing team in launching valuable new capabilities and helping our prospect and customer teams bring them to market
- Our Product Marketing team collaborates with nearly every team at Algolia to evangelize our products and position them for successful customer adoption
- Create and champion messaging for product & solution launches for field enablement: Authoring creative messaging about our products in the perspective of our prospects and customers
- Sales Engagement and Support: Our field Account Executives require proactive support that our Product Marketing team will solicit and provide
- Creating vertically specific positioning: Using a customer-scenario perspective, shape messaging and content specific to industry value propositions
- Support Analyst Relations: By helping to facilitate answers to Analyst report questionnaires across product management and product marketing
Our take
While in-site searching has been available for some time from web search servers such as Google and Bing, its functionality is limited due to it relying on general web scraping techniques which can miss relevant information. By contrast Algolia indexes only the company's site, allowing its search to serve accurate results extremely swiftly, which helps to drive sales conversions aside from making sites far more usable. The efficacy of this solution can be seen from its customer base of over 10,000 companies including the likes of Slack, Zendesk and Lacoste.
To diversify and increase the product range, Algolia have expanded into other real-time APIs such as product recommendations available for eCommerce websites. With the company performing extremely well over the last few years, Algolia have recruited key senior executives to further its growth. As the company continues to scale it seems likely that an IPO is not too distant a prospect.
