What the job involves
- True Anomaly is seeking a Production Planner to develop and manage integrated schedules, track progress, mitigate risks, and ensure timely program execution. Working with cross-functional teams, you’ll optimize workflows, align production milestones, and support strategic decision-making to drive operational efficiency and mission success
- Develop, status, and analyze Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) to monitor progress, assess program status, and identify performance issues in a timely manner
- Ensure established program baseline control processes are followed and meet business rhythms required to accomplish program control, analyses and forecasting objectives
- Use critical path methodology, risk analysis, and problem resolution to mitigate delays/issues that arise, communicate schedule impacts, and propose corrective actions to program partners
- Perform independent schedule risk assessments and mitigation planning. Support development of programmatic opportunities/risks and their mitigation strategies. Ensure mitigation tasks are in the schedule
- Generate schedule metrics and reports related to execution of the Program and provide monthly status in conjunction with Program Finance
- Work with cross-functional teams to maintain and coordinate vertical and horizontal schedule integration between supplemental schedules and the Program Summary Master Schedule
- Schedule presentations which may include presentations to Program Management, Executive Leadership Team, or customers
- Establish and conduct data and process quality assessments of planning products and prepare for surveillance reviews to ensure compliance with program performance management
- Provide assistance and guidance to program manager (PM) and engineering leads in developing appropriate schedule tasks, work-flow planning and summary roll-up task
- Identify and develop creative techniques to create, manage, and status an Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) that integrates both waterfall and Agile methods from a diverse group of stakeholders

Our take
True Anomaly is a space tech startup composed of former military operators and engineers. The Colorado-based company is focused on building spacecraft and software solutions designed to secure U.S. commercial and military interests in space. It has already developed a fully-integrated platform with seamless satellite, navigation, and data-capture technologies that provide security and training for the quickly evolving space market.
Founded in 2022, True Anomaly has already designed its first spacecraft, the Jackal Autonomous Orbital Vehicle, which can be used to train operators on the ground or as intelligence-gathering tools against adversarial spacecraft. Alongside this, the startup has built a 35,000-square-foot facility in Denver to manufacture the Jackals and hired a team of close to 60 people.
With impressive capital gained at the end of 2023, the company validated the Jackal's technical and operational capabilities and made the necessary investments to scale production. Despite this healthy injection of funding, it still had to streamline staff in spring 2024, but is looking leaner and more agile for it, planning to partner with Firefly Aerospace to launch The Jackal in 2025.
