- We're especially excited about candidates who are curious about the evolving role of AI and eager to explore how technologies like large language models can enhance our product and developer experience
- Proven backend expertise - You have hands-on experience building high-quality software and a strong command of C#, Go, or another modern backend language
- System design chops - You’re skilled in architecting and building scalable, distributed systems, and can clearly articulate your design decisions
- Data-savvy mindset - You’ve worked extensively with SQL and/or NoSQL databases. Bonus points if you’ve spent time with PostgreSQL or Redis
- Product-driven passion - You’re excited to build and ship real SaaS products used by real customers. You’ve actually deployed and maintained services in production environments
- Curious and forward-thinking – You stay current with the latest technologies and development practices, and you’re especially interested in the potential of AI and LLMs

- As a Senior Backend Developer at Bridgit, you’ll take ownership of designing, testing, and building new backend solutions, while also extending and maintaining our existing systems

Our take
The construction industry in North America is experiencing what some analysts are calling endemic widespread labor shortages. That means general contractors are under more pressure than ever to place the right people on the right projects at the right time.
Bridgit and its main product, Bench, are alleviating this pressure for construction managers. By replacing spreadsheets with a built-for-purpose software, Bridgit helps managers strategically manage their workforce with much greater efficiency and precision.
Off the back of 2023 funding, the company is expanding its product team, focusing on development that will enable its software to become a unifying layer for an organisation’s data. This will provide “unprecedented visibility” for its customers' people and projects.
The company has so far won sizable clients that have both decent profits and pressing staffing problems. But for the startup to reach a truly massive scale, it will need to develop its product into a piece of mission-critical tech for construction companies of all sizes.
