Our take
Dexter Health is a German health-tech founded in 2021 by a doctor and a tech engineer. Its main product is an AI-powered voice assistant built for hospitals and care facilities, helping staff manage tasks, communicate, and log information hands-free.
Unlike consumer voice assistants, specifically for healthcare, with privacy and sensitivity in mind. It works quietly in the background, without screens or intrusive monitors, and is fully aligned with EU data protection standards.
While the use of AI in healthcare may raise ethical concerns, Dexter shows real promise, having been tested in real care settings and continues to run in pilot projects. With a focus on responsible design, the company aims to ease staff workloads and make everyday healthcare more efficient.
