Who you are
- You have 3+ years of experience with a proven track record as a product manager, launching well-loved consumer products. Bonus points for existing work on a community product or social app
- You excel at distilling complex problems into clear, actionable insights

What the job involves
- Join Strava Inc as a Product Manager for our Community Engagement Team, as we develop social and community features that empower our users to achieve their goals. You will work within a dynamic team that includes research, engineering, design, analytics, and marketing, all collaborating to deliver best-in-class consumer products
- Your role will be crucial in creating the product experiences that get our athletes to engage and retain, ensuring they experience the full value of Strava
- We follow a flexible hybrid model that translates to more than half of your time on-site in our Denver office — three days per week
- Ship amazing new products in our Social, Clubs, and Event spaces, helping our athletes build and find community that keeps them accountable and engaged
- Define the future of core Strava social functionality
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, design, and marketing to develop and launch new products
- Conduct detailed data analysis and user research to derive actionable insights and drive informed decision-making
- Prioritize the product roadmap, set measurable goals, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality products
- Monitor and analyze key product metrics to continuously improve our product portfolio
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment that encourages creativity and excellence
- Integrate user privacy and safety needs into everything you build from the start

Our take
Strava has created an online network where runners, swimmers and cyclists can record fitness activities, and compare and compete with their community. It offers both a free and premium subscription service with added features. The company also partners with local councils and urban planners who purchase valuable journey data from Strava which can be used to map out cities and develop safer cycle paths.
The platform helps members discover and plan workouts, as well as offering a leaderboard which is updated using GPS as users compete for the top spot on particular fitness segments.
With over 125 million athletes and growing, Strava released several new product rollouts in 2024, including an AI-enabled leaderboard. A partnership with the wearable fitness tracker Oura will mean Strava software is available on wearables, taking Strava into fresh competition with the likes of Peloton and Apple.
