Who you are

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Backend Engineer with a strong background in crypto and/or finance to join our team
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
5+ years of experience in backend development, with a focus on crypto or blockchain projects
Proven track record of designing and implementing scalable, high-performance backend systems
Experience with smart contract development and blockchain integration

What the job involves

In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain the backend infrastructure of our cross-chain relaying product
Backend Development: Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable backend systems for our cross-chain relayer. Ensure performance and responsiveness of the platform, handling large-scale data processing
Crypto Integrations: Develop and maintain integrations with various blockchain networks and crypto protocols

Our take

The NFT market went through an astonishing boom in 2021, but the market infrastructure was still in its infancy. NFTs could be minted and sold easily, but low-cost, off-chain order books made secondary trades slow and difficult. Reservoir was founded to change this, providing an open order book infrastructure that doesn't introduce high operating costs for market participants.

NFT trading has been buffeted by strong headwinds since the 2021 boom, yet are still a disruptive force with significant applications in business, gaming and the creative arts. All of these sectors benefit from improved market infrastructure. Reservoir's API has accordingly seen use in a large number of new market applications, most notably powering MetaStreet's NFT trading platform.
