Who you are
- Experience working on a B2B SaaS product, leading in a cross-functional product development team and collaborating across the business with sales, customer success and marketing
- Experience contributing to the evolution of the product management function in a growing startup, including processes, setting a high bar and hiring new team members
- An ability to balance the needs of users, business objectives, and technical constraints to achieve the best possible product experience
- A strong ability and enthusiasm for writing continuous, high-quality documentation to ensure alignment
- Proven ability to take the initiative and drive forward decision-making, including knowing when and how to use your intuition and make well-judged trade-offs
- An ability to thrive in ambiguity, tackling problems that might not be well defined and without obvious solutions
- Clear pragmatism when it comes to the use of the right tools, frameworks and processes at the right time, adapting as necessary to the team and context
- A deep curiosity about the product, customers and wider market, and a strong desire to continually learn and grow
- The ability to communicate in a mature, emotionally intelligent manner, tailored to your audience
What the job involves
- You’ll join a cross-functional team of Product Engineers and Designers, all collaborating together with the wider business to achieve impactful product outcomes
- You'll join as our second Product Manager, playing a critical role in both shaping and building our B2B SaaS product and steering its strategic direction
- This position marks a pivotal moment in our journey, offering the chance to significantly influence our product philosophy, strategy and culture at a foundational level
- You'll play a central role within your product team, collaborating closely with Product Design and Engineering to identify, define, and ship solutions to key customer challenges and opportunities. Your responsibilities will encompass the end-to-end product management process, leading on product discussion and decisions within your area of ownership, and helping contextualise customer and business goals to the wider team
- Given this is our second Product Manager hire, we’re still in the process of defining specific Product areas of ownership within the team but we imagine this person will be involved in helping with this thinking! Given our size, stage of growth and our natural way of working, there will be an element of figuring this out in due course and letting it evolve organically as our product grows
- Your attention to detail, deep understanding of our users, and persistent curiosity will be critical in driving forward our product's vision and impact
- Lead and collaborate to deliver exceptional product. From understanding initial needs to crafting valuable solutions, you'll work directly with designers & engineers to bring our product vision to life
- Get to know our customers deeply. By directly interacting with both prospects and customers, conducting continuous discovery and leveraging data, you'll be the advocate for their goals throughout product development
- Define your team’s roadmap. Prioritise and collaborate on the roadmap for your product area, aligned to your team mission and company objectives
- Collaborate with commercial teams. You’ll build strong relationships with our sales, customer success and marketing teams to drive the product and business forwards
- Move fast, with an eye for detail. You enjoy moving fast while maintaining a high attention-to-detail, shipping quickly and iterating as necessary
- Lead from the front. By asking the right questions at the right time, challenging assumptions, encouraging continued learning and driving positive impact through influence & respect
- Evolve our product culture. You’ll contribute to the foundations of Product Management at Risk Ledger, helping to evolve our ways of working and showcasing what excellence looks like

Risk Ledger was founded with the goal to shift the way organisations deal with cybersecurity and information management in the supply chain. Through its platform, Risk Ledger is marking a turning point in the process of discovering, measuring and then mitigating security risks for companies, their clients and their suppliers. Risk Ledger is trying to lower the number of data breaches experienced by companies and consumers as a consequence of supply chain attacks on a global level.
According to research, over 60% of organisations have suffered a data breach originating in the supply chain with fines inevitably following. Mainstream risk assurance methods are no longer be able to effectively detect and mitigate the growing risk associated with more complex and more global supply chains. SMEs are also generally less resilient to security attacks than multinational corporations due to smaller budgets and teams; over 50,000 SMEs in the UK could collapse after a successful cyber attack.
Risk Ledger has helped customers collect supplier data up to 70% faster than before and reduced per-supplier costs by up to 90%. Its challenge now is to provide integrations with different tools and, by doing so, turn Risk Ledger into a Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) solution.
