Lead Product Designer, Outdoorsy

• You are passionate about designing products and creating exceptional consumer experiences for two-sided marketplaces, particularly in the realms of outdoor travel and recreation
• You either intuitively understand—or are driven to deeply explore—what our guests and hosts desire in well-designed product experiences

• This role requires creative ideation combined with rapid execution, demanding a dynamic approach and the ability to rigorously deliver results without being overly fixated on process
• 8+ years of experience designing, building, and shipping high-quality mobile and web applications with a strong portfolio showcasing problem-solving, UX, and visual design skills
• Expertise in interaction and visual design, with proficiency in Figma for design, prototyping, and development handoff
• Skilled in Human-Centered Design, strong communication, visual storytelling, and an entrepreneurial mindset for data-driven decision-making
• Experience collaborating with Product, Engineering, and Marketing to deliver impactful outcomes
• Analytical ability to assess design constraints, balance short-term needs with long-term vision, and iterate within a continuous release process
• Experience contributing to and maintaining design systems (e.g., Figma, Zeroheight, Github, Storybook) with a mobile-first approach
• Preferred experience in marketplaces or online travel agencies, delivering exceptional customer experiences with measurable impact
• Proven success building products in remote or distributed team environments

• Present and defend design decisions based on the our roadmap, user research, and core design principles
• Lead or participate in user research, translating insights into actionable design solutions for continuous improvement
• Partner with Marketing to ensure designs are on-brand, aligned with objectives, and contribute to go-to-market strategies
• Provide feedback and mentorship to other designers while managing your own portfolio of work, driving innovation, and contributing to the Bonfire design system for scalability
