Who you are
- 3+ years of experience in a technical sales, solutions engineering, or pre-sales role
- Strong technical knowledge of APIs, developer tools, and blockchain development landscape (dapps)
- 2+ years of experience working in an early-stage startup environment in crypto
- Based in the US East Coast (EST) or Europe West (GMT or CEST)
What the job involves
- We are seeking a Sales Engineer / Solutions Engineer (“SE”) to join our Go-To-Market (GTM) team
- This hybrid role combines sales expertise with technical mastery, focusing on driving adoption and sales of our newly launched developer platform: Echo
- The SE will engage with prospects, deliver demos, and manage the technical sales process
- Reporting to the VPHead of GTM, the role requires confidence in customer-facing environments and presenting to technical stakeholders like CTOs and Heads of Engineering
- Familiarity with blockchain data, web3 developer tools, and crypto APIs is essential, with a focus on closing deals and driving revenue
- Applications from other time zones or locations will not be considered
- Sales: Collaborate with the Echo team to engage prospects, serving as the technical subject-matter expert (SME)
- Manage a robust pipeline while driving the technical aspects of the sales process from initial engagement to technical approval
- Discovery & Solution Design: Conduct discovery sessions to understand customer needs, mapping them to Dune’s capabilities
- Deliver tailored demos and proof-of-concept (POC) solutions that showcase Echo’s value
- Feedback Loop: Act as the bridge between prospects and the product/engineering teams, delivering field insights to guide product development
Our take
Dune is a cryptocurrency analytics platform offering users free access to analyse and create analytics dashboards on a range of digital assets, from NFTs to DeFi protocols. It makes crypto analysis easier for those who want to keep on top of metrics with added ease.
Dune decodes Ethereum smart contract data to facilitate analysis with simple SQL queries through its interface. This allows instant visualisation of query results into graphs. Further, the cryptocurrency sector is seeing a surge in valuations, with analytics companies like Coin Metrics and DappRadar enjoying comparable interest. With digital asset trading broadly unregulated, and the technology still very much developing, the value of strong analytics could prove immeasurable going forward.
Founded in 2018, Dune has enjoyed a remarkably swift rise; 2022 funding has granted it unicorn status and it is seeing rising popularity in the sector. For now, however, the company is focussed very much on improving accessibility for crypto data, and growing its team.
