Who you are

5+ years in solutions engineering, pre-sales, or solutions architecture for API or cloud infrastructure products
Hands-on fluency with REST or GraphQL, basic SQL, and Solidity
Proven record of guiding data intensive integrations for crypto projects, exchanges, or web3 builders across multiple chains
Strong communication skills that let you whiteboard with engineers in the morning and brief finance leaders in the afternoon
Comfortable writing quick prototypes in Python, TypeScript, or Go
Startup mindset that stays calm when priorities shift and resources are scarce
Based in the US East Coast (EST) or Europe West (GMT or CEST)

What the job involves

Work closely with Sales and Product, guiding technical prospects from first call through integration and expansion
You’ll support customers building with Sim API and Sim IDX from querying token balances to indexing custom lending protocols
This is a customer-facing role, but we're not looking for a generic pre-sales engineer. You should understand what it's like to deploy contracts onchain, read decoded event logs, and debug data sync issues with protocol engineers
If you’ve ever written a data indexer or explained The Graph vs a custom pipeline to a founder, you’ll thrive here
Lead technical discovery with prospects to understand their architecture and data needs
Design Sim solutions tailored to customer goals
Prototype fast: create sample scripts, dashboards, and reference configs to prove value quickly
Run security and architecture reviews with engineering teams and CTOs
Work with Sales to unblock deals, shorten cycles, and identify upsell paths
Capture and relay field insights to Product — gaps, bottlenecks, wishlist items
Write sample code and playbooks that scale your knowledge across the team
Track engagements in HubSpot so we can measure and improve every step of the funnel

Our take

Dune is a cryptocurrency analytics platform offering users free access to analyse and create analytics dashboards on a range of digital assets, from NFTs to DeFi protocols. It makes crypto analysis easier for those who want to keep on top of metrics with added ease.

Dune decodes Ethereum smart contract data to facilitate analysis with simple SQL queries through its interface. This allows instant visualisation of query results into graphs. Further, the cryptocurrency sector is seeing a surge in valuations, with analytics companies like Coin Metrics and DappRadar enjoying comparable interest. With digital asset trading broadly unregulated, and the technology still very much developing, the value of strong analytics could prove immeasurable going forward.

Founded in 2018, Dune has enjoyed a remarkably swift rise; 2022 funding has granted it unicorn status and it is seeing rising popularity in the sector. For now, however, the company is focussed very much on improving accessibility for crypto data, and growing its team.
