Senior Embedded Linux Engineer, Pod Point

• Hands-on experience in kernel development, including patching, customising, and building kernel images for specific hardware platforms
• Experience with managing and maintaining the overall platform, including setting up build systems, configuring Yocto builds, and device tree configuration
• Familiarity with Remote Update and Configuration (RAUC) processes to ensure seamless OTA updates
• Embedded software development experience in C or C++. Bonus points if you have demonstrable experience with Rust

• The Senior Embedded Linux Engineer role sits within the heart of our Engineering Team who focus on meticulously developing the next generation of EV charging products
• Owning and leading the development of our Linux platform
• Collaborating with other Engineers and stakeholders to ensure that the product requirements and changes are accurately achieved
• Applying a range of techniques to ensure development is performed to a high standard, including design reviews, code reviews, static analysis, dynamic tests, and code walkthroughs

• Phone Interview (15-30 mins)
• Brief phone interview with the recruiter (up to 30 minutes) to find out more about what you’re looking for and your experience in relation to the role

• Culture Interview (60 mins)
• This will be an open informal chat lasting up to 60 minutes with the recruiter and someone else from the company. This interview is not specific to your role and you don’t need to prepare anything - we want to get to know the real you!

• This is also a good chance to get to know some of the people you’ll likely be working with and get more in-depth answers to any questions about the role you may have
