Senior Backend/Core Engineer, Vendia

• 5+ years of software development experience in distributed systems, with operational responsibility for mission-critical services
• Experience with NoSQL databases (e.g., DynamoDB) and serverless cloud architectures (AWS Lambda, API Gateway, Cognito, or equivalents on Azure/GCP)
• Expert in Python or Rust
• Deep knowledge of AWS, including serverless architectures
• Proven experience with CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks, and operational excellence
• Strong project planning, communication, and delivery skills

Desirable

• We’re looking for a Senior Backend / Core Engineer to help expand and deliver Vendia’s distributed AI data platform
• You’ll own critical backend systems, ensuring scalability, availability, latency, and fault tolerance for our massively multi-tenant platform
• You’ll design, develop, and deliver customer-facing functionality that enables enterprise users to manage and share vast amounts of operational data in real time
• Design and implement a cloud-based, fully managed data plane at the core of Vendia’s real-time distributed data platform
• Build solutions that allow enterprises to integrate multi-modal data at scale
• Implement best practices including automation, CI/CD workflows, testing and quality controls, security, and performance optimization
• Influence the vision and roadmap of Vendia’s offerings by collaborating with Product and Design teams
• Partner with leadership to balance new features with rapid customer growth and engineering excellence
