To make all chocolate 100% slave-free.
Netherlands-based Tony’s Chocolonely is an ethical confectionary business with a unique mission to achieve a 100% slave-free chocolate industry. The company is focused on making noise around the need to deliver chocolate free from the human rights issues of child labour and farmer poverty.
Tony's has become a household name thanks to savvy partnerships such as with Glastonbury Festival in 2023, vying for a "Willy Wonka golden ticket" style giveaway. It has also teamed up with Ben & Jerry's on ice cream flavors and in a bid to reach a wider appeal and "invest" in its customer base, slashed the price of its chocolate bar.
Investment from Verlinvest and JamJar in 2020 has helped develop Tony’s Chocolonely Chocolate Circus but, more importantly, is accelerating its mission by growing internationally so that more people, from consumers and retailers to governments and enterprises, can contribute efforts to securing its goal of a slave-free industry
