Role
Who you are
- Minimum of 5-10 years of combined experience in product/technical marketing or product management roles in the cybersecurity industry
- Strong skills, experience, and desire to deliver fast, frequent and iterative initiatives, using data to measure results and drive decision making in a fast moving market
- Strong knowledge and background of core PMM skills, knowledge and processes such as product launches, enablement, market research, building use cases, key persona and ICP profiles, and building analyst and customer champions
- Strong knowledge of the API security or adjacent domains, trends, and technologies, with the ability to translate technical information into compelling value propositions and customer benefits and experience in market research, competitive analysis, and customer segmentation
- Self-directed leader with excellent leadership, team management, and collaboration skills, with the ability to coordinate, work with and motivate team members, peers and cross functional teams to iterate and deliver multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-moving start-up
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to explain and translate complex technical concepts into simple and intuitive communications for target audiences
What the job involves
- As the VP PMM, you will be responsible for leading the product marketing strategy and execution, ensuring the successful positioning, messaging and promotion of our cutting-edge API Security platform
- You will own understanding our target market, buyer and user personas, the challenges they face, and how Traceable AI can solve problems for them
- You’re equally happy being heads down learning and using a new technology as you are creating marketing assets, enabling sales, evangelizing, or talking to and teaching others
- You will work closely with our cross-functional teams such as product management, sales, customer success, and security research teams to drive market adoption, accelerate revenue growth, and establish our brand as a leader in the API security market
- Develop and execute the company's product evangelism strategy to increase market awareness and customer acquisition of our API security platform by defining the overall company positioning, messaging, and branding strategy
- Create compelling sales and marketing content, including demos, blogs, whitepapers, presentations, solution briefs, datasheets, webinars, and sales enablement materials, to educate and engage both external (prospects, customers, analysts, and industry influencers) and internal target audiences (sales and partner teams)
- Conduct in-depth market research and stay up-to-date to identify industry and market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape related to API security and incorporate relevant insights into marketing activities
- Collaborate with product management, sales, partner, customer service and engineering teams to gather technical insights and develop and maintain a deep understanding of our API security solutions, their features, and their technical integrations to effectively articulate their value to key stakeholders and target audiences
- Lead product launches and market announcements, including planning, messaging, and execution, ensuring effective communication and coordination across various departments
