Who you are
- 4+ years of relevant professional experience; experience in investment banking, private equity, strategic finance, or strategy consulting highly preferred
- Demonstrated experience working in a high-growth environment; experience working in a venture-backed technology company preferred
- Strong analytical acumen; experience in building and reviewing complex financial models and the ability to translate complex financial data into digestible insights
- High level of intellectual curiosity; comfortable with ambiguity and demonstrates an eagerness to learn & contribute
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
What the job involves
- Partner with the leadership team to inform strategic & operational decision-making using financial insights
- Drive monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasting, reporting, and close processes
- Build dynamic & impactful financial models that support business needs and paint an accurate picture to internal & external audiences
- Manage accounting operations, including accounts payable & receivable, general ledger, GAAP accounting, and preparation of internal & external financial statements
- Oversee audit process & manage relationships with external accountants
- Maintain internal finance & accounting systems including Quickbooks, Carta, and Brex
- Drive operational efficiency & uncover opportunities to lower operational spend
- Support ongoing fundraising efforts by creating strong supporting materials, including financial modeling, analysis, and collateral

Retail participation in capital markets is at an all time high in terms of both invested value and volume of users. Despite this, retail investors continue to compete at a disadvantage to institutional investors. Atom Finance wants to change that.
Atom Finance provides a low-cost alternative to the famous Bloomberg Terminal. In doing so, the company is democratising access to all of the investor knowledge and research these services have traditionally licensed only to accredited players.
Atom Finance is now focused on generating new revenue streams through an enterprise offering. In particular, new products launched by the startup plug investment resources into pre-existing investment platforms.
Like all new financial services companies, Atom will have to work hard to earn the trust of both users and regulators. Having said that, their enthusiastic commitment to levelling the playing field in capital markets is winning them support amongst a new generation of investors.
