Role
Who you are
- At least 2 years+ of working directly in an SEO role for a travel or large e-commerce website
- A toolkit of link acquisition methods and proven tactics for link building
- A thirst to test new link building methods
- An ability to analyse data, with an attention to detail to spot opportunities
- An ability to turn technical or content requirements of SEO into briefs for developers and creatives
- The desire to work hard with their work making a difference to a rapidly growing, exciting business
- You won’t necessarily have managerial or leadership experience but you’ll be ready to take the step up
- An ability to communicate clearly and collaborate as part of a small startup team
- A drive and desire to get stuck in and be self-starting
- The usual stuff like being able to use Google Docs and Sheets and write an email clearly without mixing up ‘they’re’ and ‘their’
- The ability to work in person, from our office on the Southbank, on Tuesdays and Thursdays
What the job involves
- Work with the Head of Marketing to set targets and KPIs across SEO metrics mainly focussed upon visibility, traffic and bookings from organic traffic across all Snaptrip Group sites - Snaptrip, Last Minute Cottages, Big Cottages, Dog Friendly Cottages, LateRooms and LateCottages
- Work with the Head of Marketing to set the strategy to achieve the targets
- Work with our content and outreach teams to identify gaps in unique content, and advise on what content needs creating and promotion
- Use dynamic, third party and user generated content strategically to help improve the content offering on our sites
- Use their technical skills and a range of tools and systems to analyse websites, content, mark-up, links and more to spot opportunities, drive strategy and develop our technical roadmap
- Manage the footprint of our sites, from improving internal linking, spotting missed opportunities, retiring old content, publishing sitemaps, prioritising valuable and removing wasteful content as needed
- Ensure the code behind our websites is readable and usable for search engines, and delivers click- enticing content and snippets where we appear in search
- Measure results and steer strategy for technical and other SEO and marketing efforts towards creating content, links, or paid traffic to maximise our exposure across all niches
- Propose new ideas to test, working to ensure constant growth of organic traffic across the group
- Monitor competitor activities to comprehensively understand the sector landscape
- Work on regular reporting of performance within current tracking and reporting structures

Snaptrip brings together online accommodation marketplaces dedicated to cottages, lodges, hotels and villa holidays. It aims to offer customers a wide choice of properties at affordable prices; from spontaneous coastal holidays with a loved one to half-term family deals, big group getaways, and Christmas cottages.
The company began acquiring businesses in 2017 with the purchase of Last Minute Cottages. Since then it has bought iknow UK and LateRooms, as well as Hot Tub Hideaways, as it pursued aggressive growth and profitability targets. Snaptrip will continue to look for acquisitions that fast-track access to new niche markets and offer the opportunity to broaden its customer base of both holidaymakers and property partners for their mutual benefit.
