What the job involves
- In this individual contributor role, you will leverage your technical expertise to solve customer problems and deliver significant value through our technology solutions
- Your primary focus will be on designing, developing, and optimizing our technology stack, which includes Windows and Web applications, services, APIs, and databases
- You will engage in writing and maintaining high-quality code and implementing performance optimizations while keeping customer needs and outcomes central to your work
- Your ability to understand and integrate customer feedback will guide the development process, enabling you to deliver software solutions that are not only robust but also aligned with business goals and product first principles
- The work you do will directly impact our customers' experiences, making it essential for you to assess risks and make informed decisions throughout the software development lifecycle
- Your technical skills will be the means (the "how") through which you and the team achieve the objectives (the "why")—ensuring that the products you help build exceed customer expectations, enhance usability, and drive satisfaction
- Collaborate with team members to design, develop, and enhance software solutions that prioritize customer needs and business value
- Utilize your strong technical skills in C# and the .NET framework to write and maintain clean, efficient, and testable code, ensuring all new features align with high quality and usability standards
- Conduct thorough testing of software components, including writing automated tests, to guarantee the reliability and performance of delivered solutions
- Apply your analytical and problem-solving skills to assess complex customer challenges, utilizing customer value delivery as a guiding principle in proposing innovative solutions
- Engage in code reviews and collaborative discussions to share knowledge, improve code quality, and advocate for best practices in software development
- Independently execute user stories and manage tasks, balancing technical execution with an understanding of product first principles and risk management throughout the development process
- Proactively identify opportunities for enhancements and optimizations in existing codebases, focusing on delivering value to our customers and mitigating any potential risks
- Build and foster relationships with internal teams and external partners, effectively adapting your communication style to spread awareness of customer needs and collaborative solutions

For real estate agents, closing on a property involves a complex set of multiple transactions and endless paperwork, which can risk confusing and frustrating the buyer. The real estate industry has been slow to innovate and leverage technology to create a more streamlined experience, compared to industries such as retail.
Qualia is the first end-to-end online real estate closing platform. Its suite of products brings together homebuyers and sellers, lenders, title & escrow agents, and real estate agents onto one secure, remote platform. Since launching in 2015, over half a million real estate professionals have used Qualia for their clients.
Although fully digital real estate closings still account for only a small fraction of overall closings, the company is focused on enabling all existing participants to digitize — and eventually the entire industry. According to Qualia, it’s the only way to get enough scale to actually move the process forward.
