Role
Who you are
- You have at least 5 years of experience in payments, banking, finance, or fintech within the UK market
- You have previously worked at a company or led a team that went through a transformational growth phase including market expansion experience
- You have a deep understanding of the UK payments market with experience in highly complex and regulated industries
- Outstanding communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively in a high-growth organization across multiple geographies
- Superior relationship-building and exceptional consultative sales skills with a passion and hunger to win
- Results-oriented, analytical, self-motivated, and a “hands-on” person with a proven ability to meet objectives and targets
- Executive presentation skills; including in-person, written, and verbal
What the job involves
- Mangopay is looking for a Head of Sales for UK & Ireland to help us deliver against our strategic growth objectives for mid-market and enterprise prospects in the UK and Ireland
- This role will report directly to the Chief Revenue Officer located in London
- You will be responsible for leading and driving the sales efforts with a team of experienced payment sales experts
- Your primary objective will be to achieve revenue targets, expand market share, and establish Mangopay as a leading payment solutions provider
- You will strategically develop and implement sales strategies, manage a high-performing sales team, and build strong relationships with prospects to maximize business opportunities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy for the UK and Ireland markets, aligning it with the overall company objectives and growth targets. This includes identifying target customer segments, defining pricing strategies, and positioning Mangopay's products and services effectively
- Build, lead, and manage a high-performing sales team, providing coaching, guidance, and support to achieve individual and team sales targets. Set clear performance expectations, conduct regular performance evaluations, and provide ongoing training and development opportunities
- Drive revenue growth by actively identifying and pursuing new business opportunities within the UK and Ireland markets. Develop and maintain key client relationships, negotiate contracts, and close deals to meet or exceed sales targets
- Develop accurate sales forecasts and monitor performance against targets. Prepare regular sales reports, metrics, and performance dashboards to provide visibility to senior management, highlighting achievements, challenges, and areas for improvement
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Product Development, and Customer Success, to align sales efforts with overall company objectives. Provide input and feedback on product enhancements, pricing strategies, compliance, and marketing campaigns based on market feedback and customer needs
