What the job involves
- We are seeking a Sales Development Representative to help accelerate BibliU’s growth in the US market
- Working from home with a diverse team dispersed across North America and Europe, you will identify and generate sales opportunities through both inbound and outbound prospecting activities
- You will work collaboratively and cross-functionally, aligning closely with marketing and sales team members to market BibliU’s digital textbook platform to universities and colleges across the US
- Your success will be measured in achieving weekly and monthly pipeline generation targets (meetings, qualified sales leads, new opportunities, etc)
- Conduct exploratory conversations with potential customers, use your business acumen to identify how BibliU could help a business grow, and successfully position the BibliU value proposition
- Work with an assigned account executive to collaboratively develop and implement appropriate prospecting strategies
- Conduct high volume prospecting (60-100 activities per day) to qualify leads through calls, emails, and social media
- Schedule discovery meetings for an account executive to further assess a prospect's business and potential for partnership with BibliU
- Conduct needs qualification calls with specific prospects as assigned
- Attend events to qualify opportunities for account executives (30% travel required)
- Reports to: Interim Sales Development Director
Our take
Educational institutions are becoming increasingly keen to use technical solutions to better their services, and BibliU is tapping into this trend. The company delivers access to e-textbooks and courseware for as low as $50 per student, per class - massively reducing the cost of access to essential educational resources.
Universities subscribe to BibliU for an annual fee, and their students can access course materials such as e-textbooks, monographs, and more. This means that educators have more freedom when planning lessons or lectures, knowing all their students will be able to get their hands on relevant resources. BibliU also shares the revenue from its institutional deals with academic publishers, with which it partners.
Funds secured by the company have been used to accelerate expansion across the UK and US, secure additional partnerships and investigate new product development. Impressively, during the economic uncertainly that plagued EdTech in general throughout 2022, BibliU experienced massive growth that saw over half the UK's higher education students receive access to its platform, and many US institutions replace legacy bookstores with a BibliU subscription.
