Who you are
- 5+ years of experience selling or supporting the sales of cyber security, networking, identity management, cloud or SaaS solutions
- Experience building territory plans, prospecting and bringing in new logos in a competitive market
- Subject matter expert in areas such as enterprise networking, network security, IT security and zero trust network access (while not a technical solution engineering role, a background in and/or understanding of the technology underlying SASE is important)
- Knowledge of key market players/competitors in the software defined networking, zero trust and cybersecurity solution spaces
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically and develop/execute corresponding objectives
- Strong verbal and written communications, as well as the ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations
- Excellent presentation and public speaking skills
- College Degree or equivalent work experience
- Fluent in German & English
- 30 %- 40% travel when it is safe
What the job involves
- As a SASE Specialist you will be responsible for driving opportunities and revenue from Cloudflare One (CF1), Cloudflare’s SASE offering and Area 1 Cloudflare's Zero Trust email offering, from prospects in Germany, Austria and Switzerland
- In this role, you will serve as the “go-to” resource on SASE for customers and the account teams working with those customers
- Present to customers as an expert of our SASE platform with a focus on secure remote access, network security, zero trust network access, email security and SDP solutions
- Present a compelling business case at all levels in the customer hierarchy, from security professionals to CXOs planning to address transformational events such as cloud migration, remote worker shift, business continuity and the adoption of zero trust security architectures
- Develop a sales plan that is based on regional planning and pipeline focusing on Cloudflare’s SASE platform - Cloudflare One and Area 1
- Foster growth and track the Cloudflare One/Area 1 sales pipeline by engaging with internal account teams, existing customers, net new prospects and key partners
- Prepare and give regular business reviews to the management team highlighting attainment progress and challenges to closing business
- Proactive sales outreach by email and phone where appropriate
- The SASE Specialist Role is an overlay sales excellence role that directly supports sales delivery of carried quota

Cloudflare is a multi-service global network that provides web security and infrastructure, DDoS mitigation services, and a content delivery network. Founded in 2009, Cloudflare has risen to become an industry giant, with over 25 million global internet properties on its network.
Cloudflare has been responsible for a number of admirable initiatives, offering free web protection to human rights groups, journalists, artists, and US election websites. This goes some way to counteracting the flak Cloudflare has received in some circles for the controversial groups and users who use its services. This chequered history, however, has not affected its over 80% market share in the content delivery network field.

For example, Cloudflare is shifting to 100% renewable energy usage to create a zero-emissions internet, and in 2020 released a feature that would help users navigate data privacy regulations by selecting where their data is stored.
And impressive third-quarter 2025 results show strong momentum, with revenue rising to $562 million from $430 million a year earlier. The company also raised its full-year guidance, underscoring confidence in continued growth. As demand for secure, cloud-based infrastructure keeps growing, Cloudflare's expanding platform and improving efficiency leave it well positioned to capture further gains in a rapidly growing market.
