Role
Who you are
- Minimum of 5 years experience selling developer tools to large enterprise customers
- Someone with experience in a start-up environment
- A consistent track record of over-achievement of quotas and revenue goals
- Experience practising and implementing a sales methodology, such as MEDDPICC
- Ability to effectively identify and sell to C-Level & technical leaders across both IT and business units
- A talent for relationship-building
- Comfortable negotiating SaaS/cloud/software contracts
- Outstanding communication skills - written and oral
- Ability to maintain a high level of productivity, manage multiple competing priorities, and work effectively under the pressure of time constraints in a fast-paced, complex, collaborative, and team-oriented environment
- Be based in US Central, ideally Texas
What the job involves
- Reporting to our Sales Director, we are looking for a tenacious and ambitious Account Executive with experience selling developer tools to support the fast-growing demand for our product on the US market
- We expect you to use your prospecting, sales, negotiation, and leadership skills to sell Spacelift’s offerings to enterprises of various sizes effectively
- You will have a proven track record of success in a product-led growth model and experience building and closing a pipeline
- You will partner with Sales Development Representatives in your region to identify prospects and build customer relationships

- Connecting with prospective customer contacts to achieve maximum sales growth and account penetration in the US market
- Identifying prospects and driving momentum across multiple opportunities, delivering an unparalleled level of service to potential partners
- Working with partners to extend reach & drive adoption
- Managing the entire sales process from prospect to close
- Understanding the product offering and competitive issues to develop proposals
- Travelling to customer sites to identify/develop sales opportunities when required
- Experience in working with Salesforce and other sales-oriented tracking tools

Our take
As cloud-native development and DevOps continue to gain momentum, it’s also becoming more difficult to manage infrastructure, particularly for distributed teams in scaling companies.
Spacelift’s solution is an Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) platform, which allows for smooth management of multiple complex cloud infrastructures, and automation of manual tasks, which the company claims to result in greatly reduced outages and downtime.
Having launched in 2020, Spacelift has been quick to scale, running teams in California and Warsaw off the back of several rounds of funding. While there’s competition in the space, most notably from HashiCorp (which went public in late 2021), the fact that Spacelift has the likes of DocuSign, Figma, Checkout.com, and Lightspeed as customers shows that it’s doing plenty right.
