What the job involves
- As our Demand Generation Marketer, you will work within our go-to-market department and you will be responsible for building and executing scalable strategies that drive qualified leads and pipeline growth
- You will own the creation and execution of scalable paid and content marketing campaigns across various channels to generate high-quality leads and fill the top of the funnel
- Working closely with the product marketing, SEO/content, and sales teams, you will focus on identifying the most effective strategies to grow our customer base and maximize ROI
- You will collaborate closely with our marketing, sales, and product teams to drive top-of-funnel growth through targeted acquisition campaigns and strategic execution across multiple channels
- Campaign Execution: Together with others in the marketing team, plan, launch, and optimize paid acquisition campaigns across key channels (e.g., search, social, display, and retargeting) to drive high-quality leads
- Content-Led Demand Generation: Together with others in the marketing team create and distribute high-impact assets (e.g., blog posts, landing pages, eBooks, and webinars) that fuel demand and increase lead generation
- Channel Optimization: Continuously experiment with new channels, refine existing ones, and identify growth opportunities that increase customer acquisition at scale
- Performance Tracking: Define, track, and report on key demand generation metrics, including CPL, CAC, pipeline contribution, and ROI. Use insights to improve campaign performance and budget allocation
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Develop dashboards and reports to provide ongoing visibility into campaign performance and share actionable insights with key stakeholders
- Lead Nurturing: Work with Product Marketing and sales to build and optimize lead nurture workflows, using email and marketing automation to ensure that leads you deliver convert into closed won deals
- Collaboration: Work closely with sales and product marketing teams to align demand generation efforts with sales goals and product positioning. Ensure seamless lead handoff and feedback loops. Work alongside our existing SEO efforts to ensure that Paid and Organic search work in tandem to maximize results
- Budget Management: Manage and allocate the demand generation budget to maximize the effectiveness of marketing spend across channels

- Equity to us means going further than building a diverse team: we are intentionally aiming to bring in more diversity into the roles and departments where it can have the biggest impact, like engineering or leadership roles, where tech traditionally lacks diversity
- What we're doing. 🔎 Targeted sourcing. We consider applications from everyone, but when we look for candidates, we actively look for people who are under-represented at the moment in our company, especially in certain areas like engineering or product.
- ☂️ Inclusive job adverts thanks to neutral language and limited bullet points. We run all our job adverts through tools like Text Analysis and Gender Decoder. We have two or more people from the team in each interview, except the first screening call, to avoid giving too much power to one person’s biases. Two interviewers can help make up for each other’s blind spots, notice something that the other person missed and help each other assess people more fairly. When we are unsure about someone, especially if it’s a screening call where only one person was interviewing, we get second opinions from other people in the team to check our biases. Sometimes we do this for applications as well.
- 🤓 We’re feedback nerds. We love giving feedback to candidates: we believe it’s important to give something back in exchange for the time invested in getting to know Happy Scribe. There’s an extra advantage to this: if the feedback needs to go to the candidate, it means it needs to be well articulated, fair and justified.
