Making the transition to a digital healthcare infrastructure requires a change in technology, culture and attitudes. However, the shift can be enormously beneficial as it’s easier to access records, clinical outcomes can be improved, and doctors can communicate with their patients more effectively.
HealthTech company Doccla is part of this transition and is setting out to make virtual hospitals a core part of modern healthcare. It secured more than $70 million in investment between 2021 and 2024 to develop its pioneering virtual ward technology. This will help hospitals alleviate resource pressure, enabling the early discharge of patients while remaining under the care of clinicians.
The company is using its 2024 funds to invest further in its technology as well as European expansion, with a focus on the German and French markets.
