Role
Who you are
- 7+ years in solution architecture, professional services, or implementation roles within a SaaS or enterprise software environment
- Deep experience in ERP, procurement, or financial system integrations (e.g., NetSuite, Sage, Acumatica, Microsoft BC, etc)
- Strong track record of designing and deploying complex B2B SaaS solutions
- Experience in designing and implementing solutions that automate PO validation and invoice processing, preferably within a SaaS environment (strongly preferred)
- Proficiency in APIs, middleware, and system integrations
- Solid understanding of cloud architectures, data transformation, and security best practices
- Deep understanding of purchase order processing within Accounts Payable, including matching methodologies, discrepancy resolution, and related financial controls
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities with a consultative mindset
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Strong project management skills and ability to lead cross-functional initiatives
- Willingness to travel for customer engagements as needed
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth SaaS environment
What the job involves
- Reports To: Director of Professional Services
- As a Solution Architect in Professional Services, you will play a key role in guiding Ottimate customers through the successful adoption of our platform
- You will be responsible for architecting tailored solutions, driving technical best practices, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure seamless integrations
- This role requires a deep understanding of Ottimate’s product, as well as strong technical and consultative skills to solve complex Accounts Payable and Purchasing business challenges
- Technical Solutioning & Architecture
- Design and document end-to-end AP solutions leveraging Ottimate’s platform within customer environments
- Define best practices for implementation, configuration, and integration with ERP, procurement, and financial systems
- Collaborate with customers to assess requirements, map business processes and workflows, and propose scalable solutions
- Customer Engagement & Consulting
- Act as a trusted advisor to customers, guiding them through the implementation lifecycle
- Lead technical workshops and discovery sessions to define solution architecture
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical challenges during deployment
- Integration & Customization
- Work closely with product and engineering teams to expand Ottimate’s platform capabilities where needed
- Define API-driven integration strategies and support customers in data migration and system connectivity
- Provide technical guidance on scripting, middleware, and automation workflows
- Collaboration & Enablement
- Partner with Sales, Customer Success, and Product Consulting teams to ensure smooth handoffs and customer success
- Contribute to internal knowledgebases, technical documentation, and training materials
- Mentor Professional Services consultants and project teams on best practices in solution architecture

Accounts payable is a cumbersome side of financial management for the hospitality and restaurant sectors. High volume of deliveries of variable frequencies and size, along with the substantial chance of damage to perishable items, means that keeping track of short-term credit to various sellers is a tricky business. With belts having been drastically tightened across the hospitality sector in recent years, labor-intensive paper invoicing and back-office administration no longer cuts the mustard.
Ottimate's (previously Plate IQ) solution is to effect digital transformation across B2B payments and accounts payable in the hospitality sector. The company’s VendorPay allows customers to make payments directly to over 200,000 vendors straight from their AP platform, thereby streamlining and resolving the late payments issue that’s been growing steadily in the sector over recent years.
Margins in the sector are famously tight, so even the most modest of operational improvements can make substantial gains for hospitality businesses. Indeed, over 30,000 restaurants, hotels and grocery chains across the US are using Ottimate’s platform, including leading brands such as Best Western, Holiday Inn and Foodtown.
