Role
Who you are
- Solid experience as a Business Analyst with demonstrated problem-solving ability to provide practical business insights from large, complex data sets
- Spreadsheet expert (Excel or Google Sheets) with ability to write SQL queries to extract data needed for analysis
- Experience with at least one major business intelligence tool (e.g. Looker or Tableau)
- Highly organized, and with excellent attention to detail
- Bachelor or Master's degree in a business or engineering related field
- Fluent in both Spanish and English
What the job involves
- Reporting to the Head of Revenue Operations, you will have impact by using data to identify opportunities that help our Professional Selling Business to meet client acquisition and retention goals
- In this role, you will work closely with other cross-functional stakeholders to provide commercial insights to accelerate the growth of our SMB & Corporate subscriber base across the different verticals. This role will work closely with the other teams in our Barcelona headquarters
- Conduct analysis to identify commercial pockets of opportunity and levers for driving subscriber and revenue acquisition
- Develop a deep understanding of subscriber retention drivers to help the account management team to keep churn under control
- Build your own dashboards and analytical solutions to enable recurrent business performance monitoring and insights sharing
- Support budgeting and goal setting processes with analysis and reporting to incentivize the right behaviors
- Partner with other data stakeholders to implement required data models and assure data availability & accuracy

- Culture Add Interview - run by a dedicated trained culture panel. We will focus on adherence to our business proposition and commitment
- Offer - should you be the right candidate, your offer will be discussed over a call with talent acquisition and will then be confirmed in writing

Our take
Wallapop has its sights set on becoming a major player in the second hand goods marketplace sector. The hyper-local marketplace helps connect sellers with buyers, much in the style of craigslist or eBay, but with a cleaner and more intuitive mobile-first approach.
Looking at transaction volume, Wallapop beats both Amazon and Ebay in its native Spain, where it has tapped into an increasingly popular consumer trend of mobile shopping, as well as both economic- and environmental-peaked interest in second hand. After a false start in the US market, the company's steps towards international expansion have been slowed - but it does have a modest UK presence and its eyes on much of the EU.
Focusing on the EU could prove to be a smart strategy. The size and popularity of its fashion resale second hand market is rapidly increasing, powered along by the runaway success of apps like Vinted, Depop, and Vestiaire Collective. Wallapop has secured impressive investment that will support existing operations and expansion in Italy, Spain, and Portugal, as well as funding developments in data science and other R&D.
