Proven experience as a social media manager, with a strong portfolio of work
A source of knowledge regarding the latest developments in social media
Ambitious and you love working in a fast paced startup that has global ambitions
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a team
Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently
Highly literate, with excellent written and grammatical skills
Experience with social media management tools and analytics platforms
A passion for social media and a desire to stay up-to-date with the latest trends
Familiar with Google Suite and design tools like Canva, Adobe and Figma
Spanish speaking is a plus, but not necessary!

What the job involves

Develop and execute social media strategies that align with our brand and marketing goals
Always on content briefing, creation and publishing across Peanut’s social channels
Utilise the latest social monitoring and publishing tools to enable seamless delivery of content
Brand guardian serving as the content filter ensuring it is on brand, inclusive, and reflects Peanut’s tone of voice
Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including paid, partnerships, and brand design
Collaborate with the marketing team to develop compelling brand stories and marketing campaigns
A constant eye on trends and competitors to inform strategies that make Peanut the prominent voice
Analyze social media metrics and use data to inform future content and strategy
Manage a social media assistant who will assist you with day-to-day tasks

Our take

Communities like Reddit are being disrupted by those that are more tailored to their users. Peanut's laser focus on women and mothers is a good example of how to be differentiated. Its app began as a tool for mothers to find friends, but has evolved into a social network now used by 1.6 million women to discuss a range of topics, from pregnancy and parenthood to marriage and menopause, and everything in between.

Since 2020, Peanut has seen engagement across its app increase by 30% and content consumption increase by 40%. Its total community also grew from 1 million users in 2019 to 1.6 million by 2022.

The company will try to meet users where they are with the development of more video networking features, potentially with technology built in-house. Other plans for new capital include improvements to the social discovery aspects of its app, the development of a web version of Peanut, and the creation of more groups beyond those focused on fertility and motherhood, which have so far been core to the Peanut experience.
