Who you are
- You have an analytical mindset, great attention to detail, and are passionate about process improvement
- You possess excellent oral and written communication skills. Rupa is a remote-first company, so clear and effective communication is key!

- You can manage multiple projects simultaneously and effectively
- You have a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; CPA is a plus
- Bonus: you have experience working in a high-growth technology company; SaaS knowledge is a plus

What the job involves
- Reporting directly to our Finance & Strategy Director, you will lead the charge in building out our in-house accounting function
- In this role, you will be executing — and improving — our month-end close and cost accounting processes
- You will assume a high level of ownership over the accuracy of our financial statements and the robustness of our technical accounting and internal controls
- You’ll help us prepare for and undergo our first audit (and beyond!) Lastly, you will work hand-in-hand with the rest of the Rupa Finance org to make sure we have the financial tools, systems, and team in place to support our rapid growth
- Run our month end close process, synthesizing data from multiple sources into our financial statements in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Perform regular account reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial statements
- Own our accounts receivable and accounts payable functions and tools (Brex, Bill.com); partner cross-functionally to ensure proper expense classifications and effective integration into QuickBooks
- Monitor budgets and expenditures to identify cost savings opportunities to present to leadership
- Prepare and file tax returns
- Support external and internal audits
- Keep Rupa up-to-date on the latest accounting regulations and guidance

Rupa is providing a platform that is making it easier for practitioners to have access to root-cause medicine, from DNA testing to hormone and fertility testing. This is often otherwise inaccessible at average hospitals.
Demand for this holistic approach to medicine has skyrocketed, growing 15-30% annually for the past ten years. But still, there is little access to root-cause medicine. Rupa is building an infrastructure to accommodate the root-cause approach and intends to make it the standard of care for everyone globally.
Backed by world class investors and advisors such as Bessemer Venture partners, Union Square Ventures, and First Round Capital. Rupa has seen exponential month-over-month growth and aims to further strengthen its team and mission as it expands the company and broadens and accelerates product development.
