What the job involves

  • Function as the day-to-day contact for numerous experiential clients
  • Serve as a strategic partner to help experiential clients maximize ticket sales
  • Coordinate with Fan Support and Field Operations personnel
  • Communicate product needs to Dev team
  • Relay client feature requests to Sales team and gauge client temperature
  • Communicate overall client health and temperature to Director of Client Success
  • Perform regular high-level client check-ins to discuss account health and strategies
  • Build and nurture strong client relationships
  • Gain a deep understanding of clients’ business operations and needs in an effort to help them meet their business objectives
  • Ensure that clients properly utilize all applicable product offerings
  • Onboard and train new clients
  • Act as a consultant, advising on best practices regarding event builds, onsales, reporting, etc
  • Educate clients about and help them adopt new features as they’re released
  • Provide onsite hardware and software support at events, as needed
  • Proactively address client needs

Our take

If you want to go to any sporting, music or other major event, you probably purchased your ticket through a ticketing platform. However, while these are useful for event organizers, bringing customers to a central sales point and managing reservations, they frequently offer a horrible experience to users with poor search functions and confusing interfaces. Tixr was founded in 2012 to solve this with a ticketing platform built around a fun and easy user interface.

Tixr competes in a crowded field with the likes of Ticketmaster, Eventbrite, Dice and RA, to name just a few. However, Tixr stands out as a technology-first company, focusing on the user experience delivered through its mobile and web apps and in the speed and agility of its solutions, which extend beyond ticketing to merchandise sales and other monetization channels for its partners' events.

Tixr has grown rapidly over the years and in 2022 achieved over $1 billion in transactions on its platform. It has recently moved into the sports vertical with partnerships with LIV Golf, Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach, and the Danbury Hat Tricks. It is also expanding internationally and will be looking to grow its market share, particularly in the lucrative European events sector.
