Role
Who you are
- Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- 5 years of experience in product design, UX, or Interaction Design
- Knowledge of visual design, interaction design, and typography
- Experience shipping consumer products
- Experience using existing frameworks to solve problems, and extending and evolving those frameworks
Desirable
- Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Experience designing for personalization or online profiles/identity management
- Experience designing for ecommerce environments
- Ability to synthesize complex topics into simplified narratives and communicate to leadership
What the job involves
- As a part of the My eBay Design team, you’ll be working at the core of the eBay experience and across the whole shopping journey
- From designing the user profile, to their order tracking experience, and helping them organize their favorites, My eBay is the hub of our customer’s experience
- You’ll be joining the team at an exciting time when your innovative solutions can come to life in ways that make the treasure hunting experience more delightful, easier, and satisfying for eBay’s diverse global audience
- Designing and prototyping cross-platform experiences that are easy to use, beautiful, and delight eBay’s customers
- Developing sketches, wireframes, user flows, mockups, and animations at appropriate fidelities to clearly communicate designs to leaders and cross functional teams
- Exploring a wide variety of design concepts to find the best solutions, balancing the business objectives with the customers’ needs
- Collaborating daily with other designers and UX teammates to contribute to a thriving Design culture
- Partnering with engineers and product managers throughout the design and development process
