Who you are
- This role is perfect for a recent computer science graduate or someone early in their career with a strong trajectory and a passion for frontend development
- You have a solid understanding of frontend fundamentals (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and some experience with modern frameworks like Vue.js, React, or Angular (from internships, projects, or coursework)
- You’re passionate about creating intuitive and user-friendly interfaces and care about delivering a great user experience
- You’re eager to learn and grow in a startup environment, where you’ll have the opportunity to take on new challenges and responsibilities
- You enjoy collaborating in a cross-functional team, asking questions, and improving through feedback
- You’re proactive, curious, and solution-oriented, with a willingness to tackle challenges (with support from your team)
- Stack: Vue.js, TypeScript, Vite, GraphQL (Apollo), WebSockets, Playwright. You should be familiar with some of these or similar technologies
What the job involves
- Koppla is building the next-gen collaborative scheduling platform for construction, helping project managers keep projects on time by identifying delays and disruptions before they impact timelines
- We are looking for a product-minded Junior Frontend Engineer in Berlin that loves building high-quality frontends
- If you want to gain hands-on experience in building a real-world product at a venture-funded start up, while being able to learn from a senior team - this one is for you
- Collaborate with experienced engineers, product managers, and designers to build and improve features for our scheduling tool in a truly cross-functional process
- Develop user-facing features using Vue.js, TypeScript, and other modern technologies
- Work on integrating frontend components with backend services (GraphQL, REST, WebSocket)
- Participate in code reviews to learn and apply best practices for clean, maintainable code
- Assist with debugging, testing, and improving performance to ensure high-quality releases
- Take ownership of smaller tasks and grow into taking on larger responsibilities as you gain experience

Rarely does a construction site run smoothly, with countless obstacles appearing unexpectedly. koppla prepares workers for these surprises. A large construction site sees many different companies operating, which can become difficult for construction management and lead to higher costs due to longer construction times. By offering a digital and automate solution, koppla’s software helps management create faster, cheaper and more sustainable construction sites.
There are certainly other players in the construction site optimisation field, such as Munich’s Capmo and Berlin’s Cosuno. Though koppla is unique in its application of the lean methodology in the construction industry. Lean construction management has a reliable history, known for enabling more efficient planning and organisation and better on-site communication.
With funding under its belt, koppla is expanding the technical aspects of its model, as well as making new hires in the tech and sales department as it continues to ambitiously target the top 1,000 construction companies and real estate developers in DACH countries.
