Who you are
- You must be a current University student in your 2nd year of study, looking to spend your 3rd year on placement and graduating no earlier than July 2028
- An interest in developing a career in Recruitment (Talent Acquisition)
- Great communication skills with the confidence to speak to people at careers fairs and other events

What the job involves
- The Talent Acquisition Placement Intern will work across all areas of Warner Bros. Discovery’s Talent Acquisition EMEA team – primarily supporting the early careers team but also the recruiting, sourcing and operations teams
- Assisting with shortlisting and screening candidates during initial recruitment stages on both Experienced Hire and Early Careers projects across EMEA
- Attending careers fairs and visiting schools, colleges and universities to promote Warner Bros. Discovery as an employer
- Assisting with the organisation and implementation of assessment centres for the Early Careers programmes
- Supporting multiple Recruiters in scheduling interviews across differing time zones, while providing an excellent candidate experience
- Contacting relevant organisations, universities, colleges and other partners to advertise roles
- Assisting with the implementation and delivery of diversity programmes and initiatives in EMEA
- Assisting with preparation and planning for events and future recruitment initiatives
- Providing administrative support to the TA Leadership team which may include diary/calendar management, processing expenses and arranging travel
- Assisting the Talent Acquisition team with operational requests and adhoc projects
- You will gain hands-on experience working on business-critical projects

- Contract Length: 12 months

- Stage 2: For eligible candidates, you will be invited to complete a written questionnaire in HireVue. The deadline for this is Sunday 8th February
- Stage 3: Pre-recorded video interview via HireVue will be sent out, to be completed in February
- Stage 4: Assessment Centres & Interviews will take place in April
- Start Date: 6th July 2026

Warner Bros Discovery (WBD) is an entertainment company formed from the 2022 merger of Warner Bros and Discovery. It is a leader in the creation, production, distribution, licensing, and marketing of content, with Warner Bros alone boasting a huge library – more than 100,000 hours of programming – before the companies were joined. WBD’s portfolio includes Discovery Channel, Warner Bros. Entertainment, Discovery+, HBO Max, and franchises like “Batman” and “Harry Potter”.
Both of the company’s previous businesses have operated throughout the digitisation of the media space. David Zaslav, CEO of WBD, headed Discovery during its expansion into digital media, to make it a “content company” over a “cable company”. The recent focus for Warner Bros has been on next-gen distribution efforts, expanding the availability of its content across platforms and devices to reach the modern viewer. The new company has plans to migrate to one tech stack, which will require extensive retooling, as well as exploring cost-saving automation opportunities for its operations.
Since the merger, the new giant that is Warner Bros Discovery has had a shaky start, forcing the company to wind down operations and cut back on content, which included the very public scrapping of the “Batgirl” movie. However, it now seems the company may have been ahead of the curve, as a wider trend of cutbacks has been seen from peers in the space. This early move, combined with a hyper-focus on cash generation, seeks to establish WBD as an outperformer in an industry on the downturn.
